Matthew, while I don't discount that you would know the numbers, it seems all of the technical folks who were here (some of us since 2001, like myself) would agree that the bulk of the technical contributors and technically adept users of this site left for other places over the past 3 or so years.  I still come back and visit the site to see what's posted, etc, but I don't do it regularly and it's usually the last stop on my trip to bed if I'm bored.  I used to come here daily, often many times a day, because the content and banter was really technical and matched the site's name and intent.  Frankly, it doesn't do that anymore, and I wish you well in making it so again.  I never count out a site that isn't totally dead, but you've definitely got to get it off of life support and back to being extremely technical again, or most of us who left are probably not coming back to visit often ever again.
